Muthukumar Vellaichamy, MD a practicing pediatric intensivist in the USA. I did medical education (MBBS) in Madurai, TN. Then I went to New Delhi to do MD (Paed) at AIIMS. I was fortunate to have worked with Dr. Meharban Singh, Dr. VK. Paul, Dr. Deorari, and Dr. Madhulika Kabra (current HOD). Then I moved to the US where I did residency and chief residency in pediatrics. My fellowship training was in Pediatric Critical Care at Children’s Medical Center, Dallas, TX. I worked with Brett Giroir, MD (Sepsis guru and worked in the Trump administration). I worked with Dr. Thomas Sudhof, MD (Nobel prize winner 2013) on the role of calcium sensors in exocytosis.
