Dr. Shahjada Selim Endocrinology and Metabolism
Shahjada Selim did MBBS degree from Rajshahi Medical College, Bangladesh; MD (Endocrinology & Metabolism), BIRDEM Academy under Dhaka University. He has been awarded with FACE in 2016 by ACE and FRSM in 2018 by RSM.
He is the general secretary of Bangladesh Endocrine Society (BES), Organizing Secretary of Bangladesh Thyroid Society (BTS) and Treasurer of Bangladesh Noncommunicable Disease Forum (BNCDF).
He is the subeditor of BSMMU Journal and associate editor of BJEM.
He is now working as associate professor in the department of endocrinology, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Research Interest
Dr Selim has a keen interest in clinical research on diabetes & its complications, prevention of diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, vitamin D, thyroid disorders and sexual dysfunctions. He has more than 177 articles published in the international reputed journals. He also published Five books in Bengali on diabetes and thyroid disorders and chapter author of 3 internationally published endocrine books.
