Dr. Steven Chow Kim Senior Consultant Dermatologist

Dr. Steven Chow is a senior consultant dermatologist at the Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur with more than 40 years’ experience in private practice and internationally acknowledged for his contribution in advancing dermatology standards and training in the region. He had guided the development of the League of Asean Dermatological Societies(LADS) since 1990 and has been instrumental in the formation of the Asian Academy of Dermatology & Venereology in 2009 as the founder secretary-general. He chairs the AADV/Asian Skin Foundation Committee and is also the President of the Asian Dermatological Association. He is dedicated to the advancement of regional training and setting of practice benchmarks for clinical dermatology in the region. Dr. Steven CHOW is a regular invited speaker to regional and international conferences including in the WCD. He was a founding member of the faculty for the Advanced Master in Dermatology Course, National University, Malaysia and was an honorary visiting Professor in Dermatology to Xinhua University, Shanghai. He was the founding editor the Dermatology Journal of Malaysia and has published work in leprosy, psoriasis, alopecia and photoaging in both local and international journals. He also serves on the international editorial board of the Indian Journal of Dermatology and the British Journal of Dermatology and is a reviewer for the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology. His field of practice is in clinical dermatology with special interest in acne, biologic therapy and allergy.
