A 52-year-old previously healthy male presented with right hip pain following a mechanical fall. Initial pelvic and hip radiographs were reported as normal, and he was discharged with analgesia. He re-presented two days later with worsening hip pain, inability to weight bear, and new-onset confusion. He was afebrile, with a heart rate of 104 beats
