Underlying Cause of Elevated Calcium Levels in a Patient with Hyperparathyroidism

A 52-year-old man, previously diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism and hypercholesterolemia, experienced an exacerbation of hypercalcemia during a routine follow-up in the clinic. His calcium levels had been stable at around 10.8 mg/dL since 2017, but from the beginning of 2021, there was a rise, reaching 11.34 mg/dL, despite remaining asymptomatic.
